Thorpe Hall is a privately owned, Grade II* listed building which was built in the early 1700’s and is still very much a working estate today and forms an important part of the local community. Whilst on site keep an eye out for the many birds and animals that visit us from rabbits to buzzards, woodpeckers to deer.
Being a family home, the house and gardens are not open to the public but we are surrounded by flora and fauna and you are welcome to explore the estate via the public footpaths and bridleways. We are dog friendly but as we are a working estate and a home to ground nesting birds we do ask that all dogs be kept on a lead.
If you fancy eating out , take a short walk along the footpath from the campsite into Rudston village where you will find our local community pub. Be sure to visit All Saints Church on the way to see the ancient monolith and learn about the history of the village.
If fishing is your thing, as long as you have the relevant licence we have a beautiful lake available where you can while away a sunny afternoon*
